This successful candidate will be responsible for attending to water damage emergencies along with related work in the fire and flood restoration field. Strong attention to detail is a must.

ABK Restoration Services is seeking a Carpenter and Drywaller to join our Penticton and Kelowna team. The Carpenter and Drywaller is responsible for the day to day execution of work orders related to the rebuild/restoration of damaged structures to the pre-loss condition focusing on quality, cost control and consistency. Ensures all aspects of job are completed as per company protocols

Qualified candidates must possess a valid BC Driver’s Licence with clean driver’s abstract and must be willing to provide us with a criminal record check. IICRC Certification is considered beneficial but is not required, as is experience or education in related construction fields.

Participation in a 24/7 on call rotation will be required. We offer job specific training, competitive wages and extended benefits. Please note that training will be required at our Penticton location for the first 3 months of employment.

ABK Restoration Services has an immediate opening for a Project Manager at our Penticton Head office.

About ABK Restoration Services

ABK has been in business serving BC’s southern interior since 1991. The core function of ABK is to provide emergency response and rebuild/restoration services to residential, commercial and industrial clients who have suffered property damage from water, fire, wind, weather, trauma, vehicle impacts and many other perils. ABK also provides hazardous materials management and removal such as asbestos, mold, lead, fuel and other such materials/substances.

Position Overview

This person will be responsible for managing water, sewer, fire, wind or other restoration projects to completion Responsibilities will include but are not limited to communicating and corresponding with adjusters/insurance companies, homeowners and trades involved on each project, performing site inspections, working with an estimator to prepare clear and concise estimates for each project, working with a co-ordinator to schedule employees and trades and bring each file to completion with a high standard of quality and customer service as well as meeting timelines and budgets.

Through our offices located in Penticton, Kamloops, and Kelowna our team responds to emergencies with speed, empathy and enthusiasm to ensure that our clients receive the best and most caring service in what are often very difficult times. The qualified candidate will be part of a growing team in a high paced environment and will need to be energetic, self motivated and will require good multi-tasking abilities and time management skills.

Experience in the restoration or insurance industry is an asset but not a requirement.

Duties and Responsibilities

Additional job information

There will be travel and driving required throughout the Okanagan. We will require the Project Manager to be available for on-call shifts that are outside of regular business hours on a rotation basis.

Hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (1/2-hour lunch break) from Monday through Friday. Reference and a criminal background check will be required. Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract required.

Starting wage is based on experience and compensation includes a competitive benefits package.
